Companion care
Company, conversation, meals, light housekeeping, errands and rides — the everyday help that keeps someone comfortable and connected at home.
Private-pay home care
Skilled, experienced caregivers at the most competitive hourly rate you'll find — backed by a team that actually picks up the phone. Serving families across Massachusetts, Missouri, Alabama and Mississippi.
No insurance paperwork. No long-term contract to get started.
Our mission
That means skilled, experienced caregivers, an hourly rate a family can actually sustain, and an agency that answers the phone — so the people you love can stay in the home they love, safely and with their dignity intact.
What we do
Some families need a few hours of company and a ride to an appointment. Others need someone in the house overnight. We build the schedule around the person, not the other way around.
Company, conversation, meals, light housekeeping, errands and rides — the everyday help that keeps someone comfortable and connected at home.
Hands-on help with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and getting safely in and out of bed, given with patience and dignity.
Someone in the house through the night and around the clock, so nobody in the family is on call at 3 a.m. anymore.
Steady routines and calm, familiar company for clients living with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.
Cover for the daughter, son or spouse who has been doing it all. A weekend, a week, or one afternoon a month.
Extra support in the weeks after a hospital stay, a fall or surgery, when the house suddenly feels harder to manage.
Why families choose Haven
Private pay should not mean paying a premium for the agency's overhead. We keep our rates as low as anyone in our markets and we tell you the number on the first call — no packages you have to decode.
One number, answered by someone who knows your case. Schedule changes, a caregiver swap, a question at the weekend — you get a person, not a ticket.
We place caregivers who have done this work for years and are vetted before they ever walk into a client's home — then we match them to the client, not just to the shift.
How it works
Tell us what's going on. We'll ask a few questions and give you a straight answer on rates and availability.
We sit down with you — in the home where the care will happen — and work out what help is actually needed and when.
We choose someone whose experience and temperament fit the client, and we introduce them before the first shift.
Then we stay in touch. If something isn't working, tell us and we'll fix it — including finding a different caregiver.
Where we serve
Our office is at Riverside Center in Newton, just outside Boston, and we place caregivers across all four states. Coverage varies by town, so the fastest way to know is to call — and if we can't reach you, we'll say so plainly rather than waste your time.

Questions
It means you pay us directly for the hours of care you use, rather than going through an insurer. There's no claim to file, no approval to wait for, and no one outside your family deciding how many hours you're allowed. You choose the schedule and you can change it.
Rates depend on the state, the type of care and how many hours a week you need — so we quote it on the call rather than hiding it behind a form. What we can tell you up front is that we hold our hourly rate as low as anyone in the markets we serve.
Often within a few days of the assessment, and sometimes faster when the need is urgent. Call us with your situation and we'll tell you honestly what we can do and when.
Minimums depend on the state and the type of care. Ask us on the first call and we'll give you the specifics for your area — no surprises later.
Tell us. Fit matters more than almost anything else in this work, and we would far rather rematch you than have someone in the house who isn't right for your family.
We're a private-pay agency, so you pay us directly. If you hold a long-term care policy that reimburses for home care, call us and we'll talk through how our invoices work with it.
Yes — that's the point of hiring privately. Add hours after a hospital stay, drop back when things settle, move from companion care to personal care. Call us and we'll adjust the schedule.
Get started
A ten-minute call is usually enough for us to tell you what care would look like and what it would cost.
